We will take you on a trip to the Red Tadrart (region in the Algerian desert extending from Tassili to the Sahara). Alternating 4×4 trips and walks in the most beautiful places, this well-paced journey takes you through the mineral landscapes of the desert, between dunes, rocky peaks and gueltas. Nestled in the hollow of the wadis, wonderful oases bring a touch of softness to the landscape, justifying the obstinacy of men to occupy this arid landscape. Here and there, rock art sites also remind us that the Sahara was, millions of years ago, a fertile region.
Vigils will be organized around a fire and Sahrawi tea. We will carry out, as far as possible, some common solidarity actions, on a voluntary basis, with the Saharan population who are often deprived and neglected.
This stay will take you on a journey through one of the most beautiful deserts in the world, if not the most beautiful. You will retain in particular:
DAY 1. Welcoming at the airport by our team. Departure from Algiers. Arrival in Djanet. Short transfer by 4×4 to reach Tagharghart, the first camp site. Installation and overnight stay.

We will pass by Teni for the lunch break then by Imaharhatène on the edge of the Tassili plateau. Photo stop at the entrance to Tadrart. Direction the Black Dune. Dinner and bivouac in the dunes to the sound of Tuareg music.
DAY 3. After breakfast departure for Mouln’aga. On the road, discovery of rock paintings and engravings along the crossing which continues to Ouan Ahar, until reaching the cathedral of Tamezguida and its immense arches. Lunch. Direction Moul n’aga for the sunset at the top of the dune. Bivouac at the foot of the dunes of Moul N’aga.
DAY 4. We go up the In Djaren, Ouan Zaouaten and Bouhedien wadis which run along magnificent dunes which form an incredible palette of colors in a festival of reds. Monumental arches stand in the middle of the valleys and canyons with surprising walls are dug in the ocher and sandy rock. We will stop on the way to discover the rock engraving sites of the In Djaren wadi. Through a maze of grassy wadis interspersed with dunes, we reach the impenetrable dunes of In Tehaq with our vehicles. Taking pictures in front of the Ark in the shape of a map of Africa and sandstone sculpture in the shape of a hedgehog. Then we reach the majestic dunes of Tin-Merzouga which can be climbed on foot.
